1. Before installation

•Be sure that

--The slewing bearing you received is the one you have ordered

--The slewing bearing has not been damaged, especially radial shock loads resulting in changes of its characteristics.

--Seals are not damaged

--The type of the product is suitable for your machine

•Check and be sure that

--The slewing bearing rotational speed will not exceed the calculated value

--The slewing bearing can rotate smoothly

--With protection device in the gear meshing area, it do not exist any danger to material or people

2. Companion structures

•Check the contact area of the support structure and the platform. Clear for chips, weld¬ing particles, corrosion signs etc.

•The companion structures should have enough rigidity so as to avoid deformation result-ing in influences of its property.

•Tube-shaped welding structures are recommended, which should be tempered after all welding, and then machined.

•For large diameter slewing bearings (Φ3meters or larger), plastic cements are allowed when machining is not available.


--When the frame is tube-shaped, its vertical support in the companion structures must be in the vicinity of the track diameter

--To avoid any deformation, the mounting holes in the frame should be suitable for the holes in the slewing bearing.
